The Naguilian Water District (NWD) has begun studying and assessing the impact of installing inline boosters in its distribution system. This is in line with the commitment of NWD on improving its service and providing safe water for all at all times.
In line with the ongoing study and assessment, two members of the NWD Technical Team conducted a benchmarking activity in Metro San Fernando Water District (MSFWD), based in San Fernando City, La Union last Tuesday, August 6, 2024. The benchmarking activity involved inspecting how it is being implemented and operated and assessing the impact of the installation of inline boosters on the water distribution within the service area of MSFWD. The gathered information will be used to develop the plan on the use of inline boosters within the service area of NWD.
The NWD Technical Team has now identified possible areas where the installation of an inline booster may benefit concessionaires with increased pressure and availability of water. NWD plans to activate one inline booster before the year ends and intends to activate more in the following year if the implementation of the project is found beneficial in improving its services.
Likewise, NWD expresses its great appreciation to the Metro San Fernando Water District for sharing their expertise regarding this matter.
